NEWPORT, R.I. - Gordon College swept all nine matches in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's tennis meeting with Salve Regina University in Newport on Tuesday afternoon.

The Seahawks (3-8, 0-6 CCC) had its closest battle in doubles with their top pair - junior Kevin Brocks (Albany, N.Y.) and sophomore D.J. Bisaillon (Watertown, Conn.). Gordon's No. 1 duo of Michael D'Antuono (Mapleville, R.I.) and Eric Kim (La Crescenta, Calif.) held and broke right away for a 2-0 lead, before a Salve Regina break and a Brocks' hold at love to knot the score at 2-2.

Bisaillon and Brocks battled in each game the rest of the way, but the Scots' pair earned the final point in each. Bisaillon served an ace on the first match point that he and Brocks faced, before D'Antuono ripped a winner up the backhand line for the clincher.

Salve Regina travels to Becker College on Wednesday, and to Nichols College on Saturday, before returning home for the final match of the season next Tuesday (versus Roger Williams). Gordon (13-4, 4-1 CCC) wins its sixth straight and will host Western New England University tomorrow (4 p.m.).
