    NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University softball played away at Toppa Field as the hosts in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) meeting with Eastern Nazarene College. The Seahawks swept the Lions with a 6-0 win in game one, and a 12-5 final in game two. With the sweep, Salve Regina softball wins the CCC regular-season title.

    NEWPORT, R.I. - Sophomore third baseman Elizabeth Lombardo (Thomaston, Conn.) struck a run-scoring double to right field in the bottom of the seventh inning of Game One as Salve Regina University softball walked off with a 4-3 victory over Eastern Connecticut State University. The Warriors (9-19) took the nightcap, 4-2, over the Seahawks (18-11) to salvage a split in the non-league doubleheader.

The Seahawks took the opener 2-1 in eight innings, and then held on for an 8-7 victory in the nightcap.

The Seahawks (13-8, 8-0 CCC) scored three times in the bottom of the fifth of game two to end the contest early.
