Diplomats triumph again; Bulldogs bite Seahawks for 6-2 final

Seahawks compete in Tucson Invitational Games

TUCSON, Ariz. (Thursday, March 13, 2025) -- Salve Regina University softball battled the Diplomats of Franklin and Marshall College and the Bulldogs of Concordia University (Nebraska) in a pair of spring break contests in the Tucson Invitational Games at Lincoln Park. In the earlier game on Thursday, the Diplomats (3-4) built an 8-0 advantage through four before the Seahawks (1-5) scratched across the plate to send the game to the bottom of the fifth where Franklin and Marshall ended it with a lead off double and then a singe for a 9-1 final.

Following their third defeat of the week to the Diplomats, the Seahawks cut into a 2-0 deficit against the Bulldogs when Chloe Nittoly singled to left field to score Emily Lane. Concordia (Neb.) went onto a 6-2 victory with Megan Eurich striking out four of the eight Seahawks she faced to secure the win.
