Drew Jacobs enters his first season as Salve Regina's Defensive Coordinator in 2026.

Jacobs spent the past three years at Harvard University as the team's Safeties Coach. The 2025 Harvard campaign produced a third straight Ivy League championship and an appearance in the NCAA FCS Playoffs. Jacobs coached a defense that ranked 12th nationally in total defense, 13th in red zone defense, 19th in rushing defense and 21st in scoring defense. He tutored Safety Ty Bartrum to an All-America season and Defensive Back Damien Henderson to a second-straight All-Ivy selection.

In 2024, Jacobs' second season at Harvard ended with the program's second straight Ivy League championship. The defense ranked 23rd in the FCS in scoring defense and 30th in rushing defense and was led by Safety Ty Bartrum. The 2024 All-Ivy League First Team choice earned an invitation to New York City as one of three finalists for the Bushnell Cup (Ivy Defensive Player of the Year). 

In 2023, Jacobs coached a pair of All-Ivy League honorees in Bartrum (second team) and Kaleb Moody (honorable mention) and enjoyed a season that ended in a conference championship. The all-league duo helped Harvard finish the 2023 campaign ranked 18th nationally, and first in the Ivy, in interceptions, while guiding the Crimson to a No. 20 ranking in scoring defense.
 
Before arriving at Harvard, Jacobs was on staff at Trinity College, where he coached the team's cornerbacks. In two seasons in Hartford, Connecticut, Jacobs helped the Bantams post a 17-1 record, including the program's first 9-0 campaign in 2022, and capture the '22 NESCAC title.
 
Under his watch, Jacobs helped Aidan Kennedy earn All-NESCAC first-team accolades, while assisting a defensive unit that was tops in the conference and 9th in the nation in scoring defense, allowing 10.8 points per game.
 
Jacobs spent the 2020 season at Western Michigan University as an offensive quality control coach, with his primary focus on the Broncos' wide receivers and tight ends. During his stint in Kalamazoo, Jacobs was part of an offensive staff that helped WMU score 41.7 points per outing, which ranked 10th in the FBS . Jacobs coached a pair of NFL Draft picks in WRs D'Wayne Eskridge and Skyy Moore, both of whom went in the second round. Eskridge finished the season ranked fourth nationally in both receiving yards per game and yards per catch, with teammate Jaylen Hall leading the country in yards per catch.
 
Prior to coaching, Jacobs worked in player personnel at Boston College and for a pair of NFL teams in the Minnesota Vikings and Cleveland Browns. In 2018, Jacobs was an advance scout and recruiting assistant for the Eagles in Chestnut Hill. In 2019, he transitioned to the Vikings as a scouting assistant, creating scouting reports, player evaluations, and organizing free agent workouts. Jacobs then moved from the NFC North to the AFC North, working for the Cleveland Browns as a game charter, focusing on college games and players.
 
Jacobs, who played football at Middlebury College, graduated cum laude and earned his bachelor's degree in history, while minoring in Spanish. He later graduated with honors from Trinity College's Public Policy Masters Program in 2022.
