Emily Ghaussy joined the Salve Regina athletics department in 2024. She is responsible for assisting with the overall daily healthcare of Salve student-athletes, including the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses. She primarily works with the football, men’s ice hockey and women’s lacrosse teams.
Ghaussy received her bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2022 and completed her master’s degree in athletic training from the University of Virginia in 2024. While at UVA, she worked with volleyball, tennis & squash, football, local high school athletics, and spent her immersive semester at the University of Denver working with the men’s ice hockey program.
Ghaussy is an active member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association (NATA), Virginia Athletic Trainer’s Association (VATA), Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers' Association (MAATA), and Professional Hockey Athletic Trainer’s Association (PHATS). She is a Certified Exercise Physiologist by the American College of Sports Medicine and holds BLS Healthcare Provider Adult, Child, & Infant CPR/AED certification.
