BRISTOL, R.I. - Junior Laurin Pendleton notched her third career hat trick for the Roger Williams University Women's Soccer team, as the Hawks defeated Salve Regina University 5-0 to capture their second straight conference win.

The win improved the Hawks record to 4-3-0, 3-0-0 TCCC on the year, while the Seahawks record dropped to 3-5-0, 1-2-0 TCCC with the loss.

Junior Laurin Pendleton (Southwick, Mass.) struck first for the Hawks at 10:45 when she broke through behind the Salve Regina defense and was able to slot it past the keeper. In the 25th minute, Pendleton played a through ball to junior Katie Fusaro (Hopkinton, Mass.) that got past the Seahawk defense. Fusaro was able to put the opportunity in the back of the net, giving the Hawks an early 2-0 lead.

Shortly before the half, junior Alexa Maher (Hopewell, N.J.) found freshman Hannah Noel (Adams, Mass.) who struck for RWU's 3rd goal. Less than five minutes into the second half, Laurin Pendleton scored her second goal of the match, and four minutes after that, she put home her 3rd goal of the match. It gave the Hawks a 5-0 lead, and was good for her first hat trick of the season.

Sophomore Kelsey McGee (Kings Park, N.Y.) was in net for the Hawks. McGee posted the shutout making one save on the day. Sophomore Kristen Darling (Weymouth, Mass.) also saw time in net for Roger Williams, making one save as well.

Freshmen Jessica Lane (Marshfield, Mass.) played the majority of the game in goal for Salve Regina, notching six saves in the loss. One of her notable saves came in the 9th minute when sophomore Maddy Howard (Medfield, Mass.) had a hard shot the left side of the goal, and Lane was able to make a kick save.

The Hawks are in action next on Saturday when they host Colby-Sawyer College at 3:30 p.m. The Seahawk's next game is Saturday as well when they will host Regis College at 2:30 p.m.
