Box Score 2 PATCHOGUE, N.Y. - The Salve Regina volleyball team rolled to another pair of wins at the St. Joseph's (L.I.) tri-match last Saturday. The Seahawks opened the day with a 3-0 decision over St. Joseph's before taking down Green Mountain, 3-0.
With the sweep of the tri-match, the Seahawks improved to 6-0 on the season while only dropping one set all season to Emerson in their opening weekend tournament.
Junior setter Taylor Violet (Tiverton, R.I.) set the tone for the offense handing out 51 assists while racking up nine kills and 17 digs over both matches. Senior outside hitter Clare Adams (New Concord, Ohio) was Violet's favorite target on the front line as she had 11 kills on 33 attempts in the matches.
Junior Jennifer Duggan (Merrimack, N.H.) had a solid pair of matches as well as she had 11 kills on 31 attempts and eight digs.
Duggan collect four service aces in the opening match against St. Joseph's (L.I.) while Violet followed her performance with four aces against Green Mountain.
Salve Regina returns to the court on Tuesday, Sept. 10 as the Seahawks travel to take on Lasell at 7 p.m.
