Summary
Salve Regina University women's ice hockey team found the net in each period to take the win over New England College 8-0 Saturday afternoon. With the win the Seahawks improve to 4-1-0 overall and increase their record in the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) to 3-1-0. The loss puts the Pilgrims at 0-6-0 overall and 0-4-0 in the NEHC.

Scoring
First Period: Salve Regina found the back of the net early as Amanda Cronin finished on the power-play with the assist from Danielle Phalon. Phalon then notched herself a goal late in the period to put the Seahawks up 2-0.

Second Period: Megan Geier tailed her first goal of the season with a quick strike only 1:35 into the second with assists from Shelby Johnson and Briana D'Avolio. Geier then returned the favor with Taylor Chisholm to help Amanda Cronin score on another power-play. D'Avolio ended the period with a break-away goal with seconds remaining before intermission.

Third Period: Salve Regina would find the net three more times in the last period, with Molly O'Sullivan grabbing her first goal of the season with assists from Angela Augusta and Johnson. Johnson would grab two more assists in the period as she connected with Cheyenne Boyd twice.

Netminders
New England College's Ashley Castriotta recorded a remarkable 35 saves for the Pilgrims. Salve Regina University's Jennifer O'Connell picked up her first win for the Seahawks finishing with 18 saves.
