Turning Point

In the third Kylie Currier (Middltown, Mass.) scored at 6:21 to put the Vikings back on top. Salve Regina had numerous chances throughout the game on the powerplay, but could not capitalize. With time winding down the Seahawks called for a timeout with 1:52 remaining in the third and an offense zone draw forthcoming. The Seahawks began the extra frame on a powerplay, but couldn't find the back of the net, ending the game 0-for-6 on the man advantage. The Vikings had a crack on special teams as well, but both goaltenders stood strong and the hard fought game ended in a 3-3 tie.
