PORTSMOUTH, R.I. - Salve Regina University topped the Western New England University men's ice hockey team 6-0 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Senior Day.
Senior Moment
The Seahawks honored their two seniors before the game with a special pregame ceremony. Nick Holt (Pemrboke, Mass.) and Eric Lipa (Lockport, N.Y.) were joined by family on the ice before puckdrop to honor their time in a Seahawks uniform.

- Salve Regina junior Danny Eruzione (Winthrop, Mass.) was all over the ice for the Seahawks, netting two goals and handing out three assists.
- Salve Regina freshman Cayden Kraus (East St. Paul, Manitoba) scored twice and dished out an assist. His first period goal at 15:25 proved to be the game-winner.
- Western New England senior Kyle Carducci (Rocky Hill, Conn.) made a game-high 45 saves in his last career game to fall to 3-15-1 on the season.
Turning Point
Kraus broke a scoreless tie late in the first period then scored short-handed early in the second to give the Seahawks a 2-0 lead. Carducci made many sensational saves during the period to keep the Golden Bears close however with just 43 seconds remaining in the period Danny Philbrick (Rye, N.H.) tipped in a loose puck for a 3-0 difference at the break. The Seahawks added three more scores in the third to cruise to victory.

Salve Regina held the Golden Bears to 0-for-4 on the power play and scored two short-handed goals.

- Eruzione becomes the Seahawks all-time leader in career assists (70) in just his junior season. He currently sits at 100 career points and is six points away from becoming the all-time leading scorer in program history.
