With time winding down in the period Walinski snapped home a shot from the left circle during a 4-on-4 with just 26 seconds remaining to put the Seahawks up 4-1. The third period was mostly played on special teams, but both squads came up empty with the advantage. Kaiden Kanderka (Red Deer, Alta.) converted on a penalty shot for his first-career goal to make it 5-1 at 6:25 of the third. Connor Geshan (Oakton, Va.) would get the goal back less than a minute later, but the Golden Bears ran out of gas and could not get the game any closer.
