Summary
MIDDLETOWN, R.I. - No. 15 ranked Endicott College defeated the Salve Regina University men's ice hockey team 2-1 Saturday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action.

The Seahawks honored seven seniors and graduate students before the game. Brandon Borges, Matthew Dillon, Nicholas Latinovich, John McLean, Tyler Carangelo, Sage Englund, and George Sennott were each joined by family and friends on the ice prior to the game to commemorate their time at Salve Regina. Series and Streaks
The Seahawks still hold a 9-7-0 record versus the Gulls however the road team is now 12-4 in the series all-time.
Three Stars of the Game
- Endicott senior Conor O'Brien (Pinellas Park, Fla.) made 25 saves to improve to 17-5-1 in net this season.
- Salve Regina senior Nicholas Latinovich (Vaughan, Ont.) made 27 saves and falls to 13-6-2 between the pipes.
- Endicott sophomore Andrew Kurapov (Corvallis, Ore.) scored his team-leading 12 goal of the season at 8:17 of the third which proved to be the game-winner.
Turning Point
The game was tied 1-1 through two periods dominated by special teams and heroic goaltending. In the third the sides continued to trade chances until Kurapov finally gave the Gulls back the lead when he drove to the net from the corner and was able to wedge a shot home. The Seahawks would outchance the Gulls down the stretch but even with the extra attacker on for a full 90 seconds could not find the equalizer.
Quick Hits
- Ryan Gaulin (Kingston, N.H.) started the scoring for the goals by potting in a rebound chance in the first period.
- Ethan DeStefani (Bedford, N.H.) tallied the lone goal for the Seahawks at 14:06 of the second period on the power play.
- Salve Regina was 1-for-5 on the power play while holding the Gulls to 0-for-8 on the man advantage.
- Endicott held a 29-26 edge in shots.
Next Up
Salve Regina (16-7-2, 14-5-2 CCC) earns the third seed in the CCC Tournament and will host Nichols in Quarterfinals on February 26, while Endicott (18-6-1, 15-5-1 CCC) earns the second seed and will host Wentworth.
