BEVERLY, Mass. — The No. 9 nationally ranked Endicott women's ice hockey team defeated Salve Regina, 7-2, on Saturday evening in conference action at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

Endicott led 3-0 after the first period, but Brynn Mendes and Tori Amaral would answer back to open the second period for Salve Regina.

Emmerson Hayes ended the run for the Seahawks with the Gulls fourth goal at 15:56 of the second to make it 4-2 heading into the third period.

Endicott would score three more times in the third to break the game open on its way to the 7-2 final.

In net, Bailey Thieben  recorded 11 saves in the victory to move to 9-1-0 on the season for the Gulls while Madison Jalbert saw the first period of action and made 11 saves for Salve Regina to fall to 4-11-2 before Ellee Kopecky took over and made 24 saves.

Salve Regina (5-16-3, 4-11-3 CCC) earns the sixth seed in the CCC Tournament and will travel to face Nichols in the Quarterfinals on February 23, while Endicott (17-4-1, 15-2-1 CCC) earns the top seed in the tournament and will enjoy a first-round bye before hosting the lowest remaining seed in the semifinals on February 26.
