DUDLEY, Mass. (April 21, 2022) - DUDLEY, Mass. – The Nichols College men's tennis team racked up a 9-0 win over Salve Regina University Thursday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at the Robinson Tennis Courts.
Freshman Giacomo Ghitti won a hard-fought 6-2, 7-5 match at No. 1 singles for the Bison (13-5, 7-0 CCC), wo extended their win streak to five. Sophomore and reigning CCC Player of the Week Trevor Schwarzmann, along with freshman Adrian Toderascu, each notched a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 2 and 3 singles, respectively, as did freshman Enzo Matos Balleux at No. 5 singles.
Graduate student Sam Kluger secured a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles and freshman Oscar Junyent was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at No. 6 singles. In doubles action, Toderascu and sophomore Steven Kuang scored an 8-2 win at No. 1, sophomore Caio Dieckmann and freshman Moritz Kern picked up an 8-0 win at No. 2, and Kluger and senior Enrico Menegon secured an 8-5 win at No. 3.
