Stack's five TD passes stake Seahawks to 35-0 lead in first twenty minutes; Salve Regina wins, 48-0

MILTON, Mass. - The Salve Regina University football team dominated Curry College, 48-0, to open its 2023 campaign on the road at Walter M. Katz Field in non-league action on Friday night. The Seahawks scored touchdowns on their first five drives, four of which were less than a minute with the other less than two minutes.

All-Time Series: In the 30th all-time meeting between the two schools on the gridiron, Salve Regina re-establishes its dominance with its 20-10 mark in the series. The 48 points are the third-most scored by the Seahawks against the Colonels (52-12 win in 1997; 49-6 win in 2014) while tonight marks the ninth time Salve Regina has scored 40 or more points against Curry.

  • Andre Sullivan, one of eight different receivers for the Seahawks, caught five passes for 153 yards and three touchdowns (46, 24, 77).
  • Justan Luzzi had the most carries (16) for the Seahawks and netted 116 yards on the ground while punching it into the endzone on 2 and 9-yard runs.
  • Jake Stack threw 23 times and completed 15 passes for 313 yards and five touchdowns.
  • Jacob Perez, Christopher Tall, and Thomas Gangi had the other catches for TDs.
  • Nick Bostrom had a pair of picks in the defensive backfield and return both six yards.
  • Zachary Ludemann led the Seahawks in tackles with 10 including six solo and 2.5 for loss yards (-3).
