NEWPORT, R.I. -- Salve Regina University women's soccer celebrated their seven seniors in pre-game ceremonies and one of them -
Meghan Moniz - put the Seahawks on top in the 13th minute with her first collegiate goal as the hosts defeated visiting Mount Holyoke College, 2-1, in NEWMAC action on Reynolds Field on Saturday afternoon.

Mia Tsaparlis with their respective families before the noontime start and then the entire Seahawk squad shared a moment on field to honor their seniors.
With a 1-0 lead, recently inserted juniors
Hannah Daniewicz and
Marissa Perachi, along with sophomore
Lily Chhun, doubled their advantage when Daniewicz finished off a pair of crosses for her team-leading fourth goal of the season in the 34th minute. Stortz played the full 90 minutes for the goalkeeping decision.
