WESTWOOD, Mass (Friday, August 23)-- Salve Regina University women's cross country and men's cross country have both placed ninth on their respective 2024 NEWMAC preseason coaches polls.

The Seahawk women (35 pts) are ranked above Babson College (30 pts), Clark University (27 pts) and Emerson College (18 pts). The No.1 ranked institution Massachusetts Institute of Technology (121 pts) recieved 11 first place votes. The United States Coast Guard Academy follows close behind (109 pts).

The team returns 12 athletes from the 2023 season including DIII NCAA qualifier Isabella Hastings and Seahawk track and field 5,000-meter record holder Anna Weygang.
