Salve Regina opens with sweep of Albertus Magnus

Seahawks start season taking all nine matches

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Salve Regina University women's tennis team played its first match of the 2024-25 season at Albertus Magnus College on the Celentano Courts in New Haven, Connecticut, and swept all nine matches for a 7-0 final (doubles sweep counts as one point).

The Seahawks open their season with a win for the second straight year behind the combined "double" wins for Stephanie Davis (1S,1D), Kaydin Pinto (2S,1D), Elena Murdock (4S,2D), Sadie Rieg (5S,2D), and Madigan Murphy (3S,3D). Natalie Barros paired with Murphy in doubles while Sloane Nelson had a straight-set singles victory at sixth.
