Seahawks go up early but fall to Golden Bears on road

Padraig Brown accounts for four Salve Regina scores

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Salve Regina University (1-1, 0-0 NEWMAC) sophomore Padraig Brown accounted for all four touchdowns (three passing, one rushing) as the Seahawks built an early 13-0 lead. The Western New England (1-1, 0-0 CNE) football team saw an early deficit for the second straight week but turned their offense around in the second half as Ryan Carlson, Matt LaMontagne, and Jason Black would spark the run game while four interceptions, one each for Thomas Gasbarro, Nick Kolifrath, Jason Shumilla, and DJ Gordon on defense, would erase an early 13-0 deficit and send the Golden Bears to a 45-27 victory over the Seahawks.
