QUOTING COACH LAWLER
"It was a massive win for the program. We're still shaking off some of our setbacks. In that I mean pushing for our confidence. For the last two weeks we have had a high focus on basics-- tackling, proper passing, one-on-one defending, delivering crosses, defending in our blocks and a big emphasis on making opportunities count. That all came through today.
We had a good win Tuesday night against Mass Maritime where we made some tactical adjustments. We built off of those today. I cannot say enough about Jordan Borges and Dan Goba today. They went right at the heart of MITs defensive line. As much as I complement them, our back four was huge today. It was anchored by Evan Arpin and Joe Logue, with rock solid play on the outsides from a rotation of Javier Tubatan, Aiden Crean, and Chase Zorner. Adonis Santiago had another shutout. It was a phenomenal, crisp, clean sheets performance in goal.
We had massive contributions from Hunter Shultz, Brandon Frank, and Nolun Pina in the midfield as well. We scored on our opportunities, and we outworked them in the trenches-- bigger appetite for the dirty work from the Seahawks today."
