SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Salve Regina University men's basketball won its second straight NEWMAC contest with a 79-69 final on the road against Springfield College on Saturday afternoon at Blake Arena.
The Seahawks improve to 5-8 overall and 2-2 in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) while the Pride suffers its first league loss (2-1) and drops to 5-7 on the season.
Jojo Powers led all players with 24 points while three other Seahawks joined him in double-figure scoring --

Brad Fowler (14), and
James Jolly (10). Jolly led all players with nine rebounds.
