THOUGHTS FROM COACH LUN:
"We knew what to expect. Elmira is a good team over there with a lot of weapons. We stuck to our game plan and kept it simple. We relied on very strong goal tending and got some timely goals. For as young as we are, the group pulled through and played a veteran game. We got what we needed to get done and I'm proud of the group. We got shelved a little bit but we found our way through a storm. Defensively from a team perspective, we play strong. Elmira is a very good offensive team. The shot differential shows that. I think we kept them to to a lower percentage scoring chances for the most part and did a good job of keeping things outside. The defensive efforts starts from the crease out. Our goalie played awesome this weekend. We did what we needed to do to to keep those scoring chances low. From a forward perspective, they were making plays at they needed to make to exit zones and get pucks deep and so that's all part of our defensive strategy as well."
