Seahawks downed by Bears in five sets, beat Lancers 3-0

NEWPORT, R.I. -- (Saturday, October 18, 2025)-- Salve Regina went 1-1 at their home Fall Festival Weekend tri-match with a competitive five-setter against NEWMAC rival Smith College and a decisive 3-0 win over non-conference Worcester State University.

History: For the past two years the Seahawks have fallen 3-0 to Smith in NEWMAC action. Prior to joining the conference the most recent Seahawk win was a 3-1 verdict at home in 2019.

  • Lauren Shurling led the Seahawks with 10 kills, followed by Anouk Jansen with nine, and Abby McRoy with six.
