NEWPORT, R.I. -- After an aggressive first set with several major lead changes Salve Regina yielded 3-0 to the visiting Springfield College Pride in their penultimate regular season game of 2025.
Early in set one Salve Regina established a 10-6 lead which moved to 13-7 thanks to a series of Pride errors and a group of Seahawk kills by Lucy Swanson '26, Anouk Jansen '28 and Francesca Spadorcia '29. The Pride gained momentum later in the set to pull even 15-15, with an offensive run, and later take a 25-21 lead.

History: Dating back to 2007 Salve Regina has an 0-4 record against Springfield in women's volleyball. Springfield has come away with a 3-0 win on all occurrences.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Lucy Swanson led the host with seven kills, followed by Francesca Spadorcia (6) and Jenna DeFrancesco (4).
- Kate Andy had three service aces. Andy is now at 31 service aces this season as the team leader.

In the last game of the regular season Salve volleyball takes on WPI at Harrington Auditorium on Saturday, November 8, at 1 p.m.
