UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.-- Salve Regina University men's ice hockey trailed 1-0 early in the second period but broke away to secure an 8-2 victory over Hiram College at Pegula Ice Arena on Friday.
It took both teams one full period with a 0-0 score before the Terriers struck first 1:15 into the first period.
Karsten Kruska started a four goal run for the Seahawks, with his first goal of the season and fourth career goal at the 2:40 mark in the second period. Kruska was also the final Seahawk to score in the third period.
Aidan Coupe recorded a hat trick with three of Salve Regina's eight goals and
Grant Hineman netted his first collegiate goal.
