TUCSON, Ariz. (Tuesday, March 11, 2025) -- Salve Regina University softball battled the Blue Hawks of Dickinson State University and the V-Hawks of Viterbo University in a pair spring break games in the Tucson Invitational Games at Lincoln Park. Dickinson State improved to 12-6 on the season with a 4-0 victory in the earlier game as senior pitcher Alison Eldridge carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning before
Ayanna Fernandez singled through the left side with one out. Eldridge "recovered" by striking out the final two Seahawks.
Caroline Peterson (L, 0-1), who worked in relief in Game 2 against Franklin and Marshall yesterday, started and suffered the loss after tossing a complete game allowing two earned runs on nine hits while striking out six Blue Hawks.
Salve Regina won its first game of 2025 with a 15-5 decision against Viterbo in five innings. The Seahawks (1-3) took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third, but then fell behind 2-1 after the V-Hawks batted in their half of the third. In the fourth inning, Salve Regina sent 12 batters to the plate and scored nine runs in a variety of fashions including an inside-the-park home run from
Kylie Lanteri. Viterbo cut their deficit in half with three in their fourth. Leading 10-5, Salve Regina enjoyed a five-run fifth to take a 10-run advantage.
Emily Cronin (W, 1-0) allowed three earned runs in four innings while striking out four V-Hawks to earn the win.
Alex Kelly closed out the final inning by striking out the first and last batter she faced.

- Blue Hawks put up a single run in four different innings.
- Ayanna Fernandez had the only Seahawk basehit with a knock through the left side with one out in the bottom of the seventh.
- Emily Lane reached base in both of her at bats; hit by a pitch in the third and hitting a ball between the infielder's legs in the sixth.
- Blue Hawks had base hits in every inning including two in the third and two in the sixth.

Kylie Lanteri singled to put runners at the corners before stealing second base. Morganti Bello walked to load the bases. Viterbo got the first out on a force at home. Lanteri scored the tying run on a wild pitch. Skyla Oliveira earned a base on balls. Morganti Bello scored on a wild pitch to take a 3-2 lead. Jacey Cosciello walked. Olivia Saccocio pinch hit and greeted new V-Hawk pitcher Ava Keicher with a two-run single. Skylar Wicklund returned to the base paths and stole second. - T5 - Seahawks had a pair of pinch hitters to start the fifth frame. Lilybeth Coury singled and was safe at second when Madi Allard's fielder's choice grounder was misplayed. A fielder's choice grounder produced the first out before Skylar Wicklund's single loaded the bases. Emily Cronin stepped into the batter's box with two outs and drove in two runs with a single. Alex Kelly reached on an error to score an unearned run before Kylie Lanteri added her fourth RBI of the game with a single.
