Seahawks celebrate Senior Night at Tennis Hall of Fame for Natalie Barros, Elena Murdock, Natalia Vega

NEWPORT, R.I. (Saturday, April 12, 2025) -- With the Tennis Hall of Fame as the setting, Salve Regina University women's tennis hosted Wheaton College in NEWMAC action on the indoor courts with the Lyons taking a 6-1 decision.

The Seahawks celebrated Senior Night following the competition with a trio of players in their final regular season home match -- Natalie Barros, Elena Murdock, Natalia Vega. All three played singles and doubles tonight for the Seahawks.

Wheaton opened with a win at second doubles, 6-2, with Laila Haraj-Sai/Asia Hollis defeating Madigan Murphy/Natalia Vega. Salve Regina evened the score at first doubles with Stephanie Davis/Kaydin Pinto winning their final five games to defeat Kara Greenlee/Alissa Ortiz, 7-5. The Lyons clinched the doubles point with a tiebreak victory at third doubles; Maya Brennan/Taylor Wilson defeated Natalie Barros/Elena Murdock, 7-6 (7-1).

Madigan Murphy won in a third-set tiebreak for Salve Regina's lone point.
