BABSON PARK, Mass. (Monday, April 14, 2025) -- #13/#14 Salve Regina University baseball defeated Babson College in NEWMAC action on Monday afternoon (re-scheduled from a Saturday doubleheader due to weather forecast) at Govoni Field. The Seahawks were led by
Brandon Grover who went 3-for-5 in the leadoff spot with two runs scored, three runs batted in, including the go-ahead two-run homer to center field in the sixth.Â
Joe DeRienzo (W, 1-1) came in relief to start the bottom of the fourth and went four shutout frames with six strikeouts.
Andrew Wertz (S, 5) faced three Beavers in the bottom of the ninth for the save as
Nate Ruehs,
Christian Homa,
Tyler Petrosino completed the 6-4-3 double-play to end the game.
