Moleti scores five, Seahawks outdo Lyons 11-8

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (Wednesday, April 16, 2025)-- Senior Samantha Molet gave Salve Regina women's lacrosse an early advantage against Mount Holyoke College and went on to score five goals to lead the Seahawks to an 11-8 road win over the Lyons at the Mount Holyoke Turf and Track Complex.

The visiting Seahawks overcame an 8-6 deficit, which the Lyons established by the end of the third quarter, thanks to Daniella Bruno and Moleti who triggered a five-goal Seahawk run in the final 15 minutes of play.

Nora Cooney, with her seventh goal of the season, and Holly Sullivan, with her tenth goal of the season, added in to put the Seahawks ahead with a solid 11-8 lead by the end of the encounter. It was Cooney who netted the game winning goal with 9:20 remaining in the fourth quarter.
