Sawyer Beyer's goal helps Salve salvage draw with Roger Williams

NEWPORT, R.I. – (Sunday, September 21, 2025) – Sawyer Beyer (New Milford, Conn.) carried the ball through several defenders before kicking it past the Roger Williams University keeper, Eliot Panaccione (Pepperell, Mass.), to knot the game at 1-1 in the game's 56th minute as host Salve Regina University men's soccer finished with a draw in the non-league contest on Sunday afternoon at Toppa Field.

Louis Hawkins (Norwich, Conn.) gave the visitors a first half lead when he put back a rebound of a shot from Aidan Jennings (San Diego, Calif.) in the 35th minute.

In his first action of 2025, Seahawk sophomore goalkeeper Adonis Santiago (Oakdale, Conn.) made nine saves in 90 minutes.

Beyer's goal was the first of his career and the first for the Seahawks in over 270 minutes of action since the first half of a 1-1 draw with fellow in-state rival Johnson & Wales University on September 9.
