SUMMARY
First Half — Babson Dominates Early
  • 1H | From the opening tip it was clear Babson came to impose its will. The Beavers stormed out to a blistering start, using crisp ball movement and efficient shooting to take firm control.Babson's offense clicked right away, led by Thomas Ferdinando's hot hand, as he scored 16 of his eventual 21 points in the half, knocking down key triples and unafraid to attack off the dribble. Timmy O'Toole also made an immediate impact, scoring efficiently inside and keeping pressure on the boards. By halftime, Babson had raced out to a commanding 48-24 advantage, buoyed by 52.9 percent shooting (18-34) and a comfortable lead that never looked threatened. Salve Regina struggled to find consistency early. Their offense was sporadic, with only Quinn Burke providing sustained scoring, netting 10 of the Seahawks' 24 first-half points. Outside of Burke, Salve Regina couldn't get much else going, their shots failing to fall and turnovers allowing Babson to push the pace. At intermission, Babson's 24-point margin was a testament to both their offensive balance and early stifling defense — a cushion that set the tone for the rest of the night and left Salve Regina needing a near-miracle second half. | BEAVERS 48, SEAHAWKS 24
Second Half — Salve Regina Fights Back, But Babson Keeps Control
  • 2H | The Seahawks came out of the locker room with renewed urgency. Pat Spenard erupted for 21 second-half points, spearheading a spirited charge that cut into Babson's lead and energized the home crowd. With better ball movement and more aggressive attacking play, Salve Regina closed the gap and briefly threatened to shift momentum. But Babson — with the cushion built in the first half — never flinched. The Beavers continued finding points from multiple spots on the floor, balancing inside scoring with timely outside shooting. Robby Fiore and Theo Lamb chipped in valuable buckets, helping Babson maintain a comfortable enough margin through the closing stages. While Salve Regina's rally made for an exciting stretch, Babson's depth and offensive diversity ultimately proved too much. The Beavers closed the game with an 89-74 win, their early first-half surge proving decisive despite a resilient second-half effort from the Seahawks. | SEAHAWKS 50, BEAVERS 41
