SUMMARY
First Quarter: Coast Guard Seizes Early Control
- 1Q | Coast Guard came out with urgency, sprinting to a 21-15 lead after one quarter behind a hot shooting start. The Bears struck early from deep, connecting on five 3-pointers in the first quarter alone while forcing multiple Salve Regina turnovers that led to transition opportunities. Salve Regina struggled to find offensive rhythm, shooting just over 31% from the floor, and Coast Guard's perimeter efficiency set the tone for the opening period. | SEAHAWKS 15, BEARS 21
Second Quarter: Defense and Depth Extend the Lead
- 2Q | In the second quarter, Coast Guard continued to press advantages on both ends. The Bears outscored the Seahawks 22-11 in the period, tightening defensive pressure and creating turnovers that led to easy scores. Salve Regina's offense stalled, especially from long range, going cold while Coast Guard maintained balanced scoring. By halftime, the visitor held a commanding 43-26 lead, putting Coast Guard in firm control heading to the break. | SEAHAWKS 11, BEARS 22
Third Quarter: Seahawks Rally, But Not Enough
- 3Q | Salve Regina came out of the locker room with renewed energy, sparking a 20-18 third quarter that showed resilience. The Seahawks were more efficient offensively, cutting into Coast Guard's advantage with improved interior scoring and more consistent free-throw shooting. Yet despite the rally, Salve Regina could not completely flip momentum as Coast Guard's depth kept its lead above double digits heading into the final stanza. | SEAHAWKS 20, BEARS 18
Fourth Quarter: Bears Close Out With Consistency
- 4Q | In the fourth, Coast Guard put the game away by outscoring Salve Regina 23-24 in a strong finish that emphasized control rather than flash. Key contributions off the bench and sustained shooting balanced the Bears' attack while Salve Regina, though competitive, couldn't overcome the early deficit. Coast Guard's composure down the stretch allowed them to secure the 84-70 road victory. | SEAHAWKS 24, BEARS 23
