SUMMARY
First Half – Seahawks Build a Lead
- 1H | Salve Regina struck early and set the tone for the half with an energetic offensive push. The Seahawks jumped out in front with a series of balanced scoring efforts, highlighted by Sean Seymour's hot start, including multiple field goals that helped create separation. By the midway point of the first, Salve Regina had grabbed control with a double-digit lead. While MIT responded with scoring from Parker Spann and Wyatt Mowery, the Engineers shot just over 32% from the field in the half and struggled to gain consistent offensive traction. Salve Regina's efficiency and disciplined execution on both ends saw them outscore MIT in the opening 20 minutes. | SEAHAWKS 33, ENGINEERS 28
Second Half – Tight Finish and Seahawks Hold On
- 2H | The second half opened with increased urgency from the Engineers, who chipped away at the deficit behind improved shooting and defensive pressure. MIT's three-point shooting picked up, and the Engineers trimmed the margin, forcing Salve Regina to answer several runs. Both teams played with heightened intensity as the lead changed hands less frequently, and possessions became more contested. Salve Regina depended on interior play and composure in late-game situations, with key buckets from their rotation contributors helping sustain the lead. While MIT continued to rally — staying within striking distance thanks to efforts from Mowery and Spann — the Seahawks made enough plays down the stretch to maintain a narrow advantage. Defensively, Salve Regina limited MIT's second-half scoring opportunities, forcing contested shots and securing rebounds that helped close out possessions. | SEAHAWKS 33, ENGINEERS 35

QUOTABLE SEAHAWKS
"Our guys had to really grind today to earn a hard-fought win against a physical MIT squad. It wasn't pretty, but conference games rarely are and take 40 minutes of effort. We have areas we really need to continue to improve in, however our staff loved our toughness down the stretch and the way we defended and executed when it mattered most." -- Seahawk head coach Sean Foster '97
