SUMMARY
FIRST QUARTER — Salve Regina Sets the Tone
  • 1Q | Salve Regina jumped out to an early lead behind aggressive offense and stout defense. The Seahawks controlled the pace from the outset, asserting early dominance with efficient scoring inside and at the free-throw line. Mount Holyoke struggled to find consistent looks from the field, shooting just 20 percent (4-of-20) in the quarter, while Salve Regina converted on half of its attempts (6-of-12) and capitalized at the charity stripe. The home team's execution on both ends created the first double-digit advantage of the night and established offensive confidence that carried forward. | SEAHAWKS 17, LYONS 10
SECOND QUARTER — Consistent Offensive Pressure
  • 2Q | In the second stanza, Salve Regina continued to apply pressure offensively, outpacing Mount Holyoke 16–11. The Seahawks maintained movement and spacing that translated into second-chance opportunities and high-percentage attempts. Although Mount Holyoke showed flashes of scoring — slightly improving its efficiency to 31.3 percent — Salve Regina's balanced attack and disciplined play preserved a comfortable lead at the half. The first half's cumulative effort saw the Seahawks leading by 12 heading into intermission. | SEAHAWKS 16, LYONS 11
THIRD QUARTER — Mount Holyoke Responds, But Deficit Holds
  • 3Q | Mount Holyoke delivered its strongest quarter of the night in the third, matching Salve Regina point-for-point. Behind improved shooting (46.2 percent) and more aggressive drives to the basket, the Lyons clawed back into rhythm and prevented the Seahawks from pulling further ahead. Although Salve Regina's scoring output dipped slightly, it remained efficient enough to maintain separation. Defensive rebounding and key stops limited Mount Holyoke from erasing the lead entirely, preserving a double-digit margin as both teams entered the final quarter. | SEAHAWKS 14, LYONS 14
FOURTH QUARTER — Seahawks Finish Strong
  • 4Q | In the fourth quarter, Salve Regina closed out the game with its most complete stretch of play. The Seahawks reclaimed full control by executing in transition and drawing fouls that translated into trips to the line. Mount Holyoke continued to fight, but Salve Regina's scoring balance and bench contributions widened the gap once more. The final stanza's 17–12 scoring advantage ensured a decisive 64–47 victory for the Seahawks — a performance built on consistency, fundamental execution, and sustained intensity throughout the 40 minutes. | SEAHAWKS 17, LYONS 12
