WASHINGTON D.C. - #5/#10 Salve Regina University broke open a 2-2 tie with four runs in the fifth, six in the sixth, and seven in the ninth, to defeat Stevens, 19-4, in the final game of the Matt Kurkjian ALS Awareness Invitational hosted by Catholic University at Talbot Field on Saturday evening in the nation's capital.
Senior captain and right fielder Shane Williams (Georgetown, Mass.) went 4-for-5 with five runs batted in including the Seahawks' first home run of 2026. Evan O'Rourke (Arlington, Mass.) made it back-to-back for the Seahawks in the second with his first blast of the year. Elliot Hamilton (Glastonbury, Conn.), a senior infielder, capped of the seven-run ninth with a solo shot to left field.
On the mound, righties Kyle Carozza (Fairfield, Conn.) and Luis Ortiz Ramirez (East Boston, Mass.) worked six frames (1-4, 7-8) while lefties Brady Shea (Worcester, Mass.) and Connor Toriello (North Berwick, Maine) tossed three scoreless innings (5-6, 9).

All-Time Series: In the only prior meeting nearly seven years to the day (Feb. 22, 2019), Colton Eremian slugged a two-run homer and added a bases-loaded walk for three runs batted in to back the combined four-hit pitching efforts of starter Patrick Maybach and reliever Will Ginsberg in Salve Regina's 7-1 victory over Stevens at Dobbelaar Field.
