AUBURNDALE, Fla. (March 19, 2026) - No. 4 Salve Regina University baseball's offense erupted in the middle innings and never let up, powering the Seahawks to an 11–1 victory over Bethel (Minn.) on March 19 in Auburndale, Florida. Backed by an 18-hit performance and a complete-game effort on the mound, the Seahawks improved to 10–1 on the season.
Bethel struck first in the opening inning when
Sam Abbas (Andover, Minn.) delivered an RBI double to left, but the early lead was short-lived. Salve Regina answered immediately, as
Shane Williams (Georgetown, Mass.) drove in
Shea Donovan (Milton, Mass.) with an RBI single to even the score at 1–1.
From there, the Seahawks steadily built control.
Danny Rogers (New Canaan, Conn.) put Salve Regina ahead for good in the third inning with an RBI single, one of his multiple run-producing swings on the day.
The decisive blow came in a four-run fifth inning, where Salve Regina's lineup showcased its depth. Rogers struck again with an RBI double,
Evan O'Rourke (Arlington, Mass.) followed with an RBI single, and
Grady Schopps (Fairfield, Conn.) added another run-scoring double.
Matt Stokes (Summit, N.J.) capped the rally with a sacrifice fly, driving in a fourth run in the frame.
O'Rourke continued to be a central figure in the attack, collecting three RBIs on the day. He drove in runs in both the fifth and sixth innings with singles and later added another RBI via a bases-loaded walk in the seventh.
Schopps also contributed multiple RBIs, including a run-scoring groundout in the sixth, while Rogers finished with two RBIs, highlighted by his third-inning single and fifth-inning double. Williams and Stokes each chipped in an RBI as well, underscoring a balanced offensive output that saw six different players record at least one run batted in.
On the mound,
Nolan Romanowski (Wynantskill, N.Y.) was dominant, tossing a complete game while allowing just one run on five hits and striking out four to earn the win.
In total, Salve Regina produced nine RBIs in the contest, turning consistent traffic on the bases into a lopsided result. The combination of timely hitting—particularly from Rogers, O'Rourke, and Schopps—and a strong outing from Romanowski proved more than enough as the Seahawks rolled past Bethel.
The result marked another emphatic win for Salve Regina during its Florida trip, continuing a stretch in which the Seahawks have consistently produced high run totals while holding opponents in check.
