MIDDLETOWN, R.I.-- Salve Regina University men's lacrosse fell 16-6 to NEWMAC counterpart Babson College after the Beavers went on an early scoring run and held their momentum across the encounter.
The contest was tied 1-1 early in the first quarter after senior Daniel Naglieri found the equalizer following the Beavers' opening goal. Babson surged ahead with a 7-0 run until Naglieri once again found the back of the net before the clock expired on the first half with the Seahawks trailing 8-2.
Senior Chris Koltzen netted two in the second half and sophomore Robert Zdrojeski iii scored his first career goal, and provided an assist on Koltzen's strike, adding to the Seahawks tally. With the help of several critical saves in net by Beavers' goalie Andrew Almquist, Babson picked up a 16-6 NEWMAC win.
