MIDDLETOWN, R.I.-- Salve Regina University men's lacrosse brought energy to the first quarter of action but ultimatly fell 18-12 to the visiting Connecticut College Camels in non conference play at Gaudet Field Monday evening.
Chris Koltzan scored bookend goals in the first quarter, while the visitor counteracted Salve Regina's offensive momentum, and it was tied 5-5 with 15 minutes gone from the clock. The second period was the turning point of the contest, when the Camels broke away with seven unanswered goals to put them ahead 13-6. The Camels continued to surge forward, although Koltzan and Daniel Naglieri put a stop to Connecticut College's scoring run but it wasn't quite enough to pull even with the visitor.
