Seahawks compete at Trinity Invitational

HARTFORD, Conn. -- The Salve Regina University women's track and field team wrapped up competition at the Trinity Invitational with five top ten finishes. 

Junior Isabella Hastings posted the second fastest time in the women's 5,000m with a time of 18:31.06. Freshman Sophia Vassallo crossed the women's 400m line in 1:01.63 for a personal best.

Junior Olivia Tacconi raced the women's 200m with a time of 26.32, for 11th place. Tacconi's time placed her just behind the Salve Regina 2011 record of 26.31.

In the women's javelin throw Megan Curran was the top Seahawk finisher with a distance of 24.11m. Kaleigh Nelligan placed 11th in the women's pole vault with a mark of 2.40m.

The Seahawks will travel to the NEWMAC Championships April 24-25, 2026.
