BOSTON — The Salve Regina University women's volleyball team competed in three close sets against tri-match host Suffolk University before sweeping their fellow visitor from Salem State University on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court in the basement of the Ridgeway Building.
MATCHUP ONE:
Final: Suffolk 3, Salve Regina 0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-21)
Records: Salve Regina (1-6), Suffolk (4-2)
The Rams won their home opener in straight sets and improve to 3-2 all-time against the Seahawks. This was their first meeting since 2022.
Anouk Jansen (Queen Creek, Ariz.) led the Seahawks with nine kills, while Lauren Shurling (Hudson, Mass.) added six kills in another strong offensive showing. Lily Dobbins (Richmond, Ky.) supported the defensive effort with 14 digs. Kate Andy (Norton, Mass.) had a team-high 16 assists.

Final: Salve Regina 3, Salem State 0 (25-15, 25-14, 25-23)
Records: Salve Regina (2-6), Salem State (0-6)
The Seahawks scored their first sweep of the season and raised their attack percentage in each successive set. Salve Regina improves to 3-0 all-time versus Salem State after wins in 2003 (3-2) and 2016 (3-0).
Jansen continued her dominant play with 15 kills. Shurling served up three aces while she also matched Cecelia Bronson (St. Paul, Minn.) and Jenna DeFrancesco (Branford, Conn.) each with four blocks. Sydney Hanlon (Sandwich, Mass.) topped the Seahawks with 16 assists.

On Tuesday, September 15, at 7 p.m. the Seahawks play at UMass Dartmouth on FloCollege.
