MARLBOROUGH, Mass. - The NEWMAC has announced its Athlete of the Week honorees for the week ending September 27, 2026, and Salve Regina University senior quarterback Padraig Brown (Newington, Conn.) has been selected as the Offensive Athlete of the Week for football.
Senior captain and quarterback Padraig Brown had three rushing TDs (12, 2, 48) in the first half and passed for another as the Seahawks built a 42-0 advantage by intermission. Brown carried the ball five times for a team-high 79 yards (Seahawks had a season-high 227 yards rushing), scoring on 60 percent of his rushes. His 48-yard TD was the longest gain from scrimmage for the Seahawks this season. Chapman continues his TD reception streak to 10 games.
Seahawk head coach Kevin Gilmartin on Brown's performance: "What a day -- for a QB to have three rushing TDs and a passing TD in a day of tempestuous weather is an amazing accomplishment!!!!"
