BRUNSWICK, Maine (Saturday, September 5, 2026) -- Salve Regina University men's soccer benefited from an own goal and scored a 1-1 final with Bowdoin College at the Pickard Soccer Fields.
After a scoreless first 45 minutes, the Seahawks put pressure on the ball at the beginning of the second half, forcing the Polar Bears into an own goal situation to make the score 1-0. The Polar Bears ramped up their pressure in the offensive half to earn a penalty kick in the 82nd minute when Adam Prince buried the penalty to tie the game 1-1.
Bowdoin outshot Salve Regina 22-5 (11-4 on goal). The fifth-ranked Polar Bears finished with a 10-3 corner kick advantage. Oliver King only had to make three saves for the Polar Bears thanks to the cohesive defense in front of him. Goalie
