Declan O'Hara

  • Title
    Student Assistant
Declan O'Hara enters his second season as a student assistant coach with Salve Regina baseball. A current senior, he joined the Seahawks as an outfielder after graduating from Fairfield Warde High School in Fairfield, CT, in 2021. He was an outfielder on the team during his freshman and sophomore years before a knee injury cut his career short. He spent summers playing with the Syracuse Salt Cats of the NYCBL and Pineville Porcupines of the old North State League, before transitioning to his student assistant coaching role, which began in the spring of 2024. In the summer of 2024, he coached AAU for Baseball U Connecticut and will be returning to them in the summer of 2025. He is a Biology major with a minor in chemistry and will attend Creighton University to pursue his doctorate in physical therapy, starting in August of 2025. With a drive for fitness and rehabilitation, Declan assists with some athletic training when needed. His goal is to one day work for a professional sports team or college program as a physical therapist and make a difference in the sports medicine field of baseball.
