Coach Ben Willett, an Aquidneck Island native, grew up playing sports for local Portsmouth High School where he was a three-time all-state midfielder in lacrosse, state champion basketball player and the Gatorade Player of the Year in football his senior year. After high school Willett attended Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York where he played both lacrosse and football and graduated in 2015 with a degree in international business.  In his senior year, Willett was named a men’s lacrosse team captain and helped the Red Foxes win the MAAC championship, reaching the NCAA tournament. Ben joins the Seahawks after serving as the head coach of Portsmouth High School for five seasons and being named Rhode Island high school coach of the year in 2019. Willett currently works as a real estate broker at Keller Williams Realty and runs the Ben Willett team serving Rhode Island and Massachusetts. He currently resides in Newport, Rhode Island with his dog Juke.
