Victoria Van Alstine-Tauer joined the Salve Regina athletic department in the fall of 2024. She is an experienced athletic trainer with over nine years of professional expertise in sports medicine. A graduate of Westfield State University with a Bachelor’s in Athletic Training, she holds both a master’s in exercise and sports studies from Smith College and an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University.
Throughout her career, Victoria has worked with several prestigious institutions, including Smith College, Mount Holyoke College, Amherst College, Northfield Mount Hermon School, and Bridgewater State University, where she also teaches and mentors future healthcare professionals in the field of sports medicine. Victoria has worked with a variety of sports such as football, ice hockey, field hockey, soccer, lacrosse, swim and dive, wrestling, softball, baseball, cross country, track and field, basketball, and sled hockey.
Her commitment to professional development extends beyond her clinical roles; Victoria has actively contributed to the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) Career Advancement Committee and Early Professional Committee, supporting the growth of the athletic training field. While currently contributing to the Athletic Trainers of Massachusetts Awards and Scholarships Committee.
Certified in BLS, Lifeguarding, RockTape, and RockBlades, Victoria specializes in advanced therapeutic techniques, enhancing recovery and performance for athletes. Her dedication to providing high-quality care and continuous learning drives her passion for improving the health and well-being of the athletic community. Victoria has volunteered with the Boston Marathon as a medical team member and at local races and events.
