McAvoy entered her first year at Salve Regina in the fall of 2023 as assistant women's volleyball coach and admissions counselor. 

A graduate of Endicott College, McAvoy earned a bachelor’s of science and marketing ('22) and she continued on to complete her master’s of business administration ('23). 

McAvoy was an active member of the Endicott Gulls women's volleyball team from 2018-2022. During her time at Endicott, McAvoy was named CCC Rookie of the Year (2018), All-CCC Second Team (2018), NEWVA All-Rookie Team (2018), AVCA New England Rookie of the Year (2018), All-CCC Second Team (2019), AVCA All-Region Honorable Mention, All-CCC First Team (2021), AVCA All-Region First Team (2021), AVCA All-America Third Team (2021), All-CCC First Team (2022), NEWVA All-Region First Team (2022), AVCA All-Region II First Team (2022) and AVCA All-America Honorable Mention (2022). 

In 2019, 2021 and 2022 McAvoy led the Gulls to the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament.
