Seahawks remain unbeaten with Ernst's header in double OT thriller, 1-0

Box Score

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. - Senior Bobby Ernst (Needham, Mass.) headed home the game-winner in double overtime to lift the Salve Regina University men's soccer team to a thrilling 1-0 victory over UMass.-Dartmouth on Wednesday evening. The Seahawks are off to their best start in program history, improving to a perfect 7-0-0 on the season.

The Corsairs recived four yellow cards and a red card in regulation, allowing the Seahawks to be a man up entering overtime play.

In the second overtime, Mark Marino (Smithfield, R.I.) played a pass into the forward space of Jacob Brigandi (Vernon, Conn) who ran on to it and hit a one-time pass out wide in front of Zachary Kraft (Tenafly, N.J.) who then in his first-touch played a high, arching cross into the box that Bobby Ernst elevated and finished with his head into the back of the net for the game-winning score.

The Seahawks will return to action this Saturday versus Western New England at 2:30 p.m.
