How It Happened

The Seahawks wasted no time getting on the board, scoring in the second minute on MacDonald's strike from 13 yards out, just beyond the penalty spot on a pass in to the box from Oggiano. 16 minute later, Guerra set himself up passing to the middle of the field from left of the 18 and cutting in behind the Buccaneers defense to receive the return pass from MacDonald and putting a shot under the diving Murphy and into the back of the net to make is 2-0 Seahawks. Though the Seahawks would rattle off a number of shots and the Buccaneers took their chances on the counter-attack, neither team would score in the remaining minutes of the first half. The score remained 2-0 Salve at the break.

Up by two in the second half, the Seahawks challenged for a third early and the Bucs pushed back. In the 64th minute, a delivery in to the box was received by MacDonald which he attempted to shoot. As it deflected off of a Maritime defender, the ball fell to the foot of Winiarski who rolled it past Murphy for the third and final goal of the night for Salve Regina, securing the 3-0 victory.
