BRISTOL, R.I. -- (Wednesday, October 12, 2024)-- Salve Regina University field hockey took on Roger Williams University in non-conference action on the Hawks home Bayside Field and even though
Angelina Regels' goal three minutes in gave the Seahawks a 1-0 lead, the Hawks scored six consecutive goals before
Kira Spedden could score again, ending the game in a 6-2 Hawk victory.
Hawks' Hannah Timbrouck tied the game at 1-1 and following a penalty corner Chelsea King, Carly King's older sister, tapped it in and put the Hawks in the lead 2-1. By the end of the first half Roger Williams was ahead 3-1 and the Hawks scored twice more in the third period to make it 5-1. Spedden's goal came one minute after Maggie Hansen's penalty corner. Salve Regina had two attempts blocked before Spedden success from the corner of the net ended the encounter 6-2.
