Goba's 12th goal of season secures Seahawk draw with Lyons

NORTON, Mass. -- Salve Regina University men's soccer sophomore Daniel Goba scored his team-leading 12th goal of the season to salvage a 1-1 draw against Wheaton College in NEWMAC action at Keefe Field in Norton, Massachusetts.

History: Salve Regina and Wheaton meet for the 17th time for a men's soccer contest, and second time as fellow NEWMAC members. The Lyons have an undefeated mark (15-0-1) in the all-time series which actually began in 1989 with a scoreless draw. In the first-ever NEWMAC meeting last season at Toppa Field, the Seahawks stopped an initial shot but the clear went right to sophomore Daniel Medina who scored his first goal of 2023 in a 1-0 Wheaton win.
